Students will learn about and create several projects using basic handbuilding techniques...pinch, soft slab, drape/slumps, hard slab & coil. Students can use any technique they deem appropriate for their needs.
Students will learn about some MY techniques of mold making to create vessels of their own design. Objects to mold will be supplied by students. Clay and firings will be supplied by instructor.
This class will meet once a week for 4 weeks...day or evening. Class times/days will depend on student and instructor availability.
Since all I have left is a kickwheel, this is adults only (5 foot minimum). As a result of having 1 wheel, this class is private. Students will begin with wedging, centering, opening & pulling up to create multiple cylinders. These cylinders can be altered to create bowls, cups, pitchers, vases, jars, teapots, even plates, depending on skills attained.
