Zan is a newcomer to KC Clay Guild Teabowl National. Her accepted piece is the first in her gallery. She stamps her work (which I love, being a stamper myself) in beautiful, directional patterns, leaving some flat surface for other decorations.
She grew up in her parents pottery studio in North Carolina. After earning an MFA from North Texas Uni., she returned to make pots in NC. She soda fires all her work and creates functional pottery, jewelry...even books. Check out her amazing work on her website below.
This is Jeremie's first time in Teabowl National. His gallery includes the accepted piece (first on left) and the other two entries. The group photo is from (Re)Invention, an exhibit at the Hunter Museum of Art in Chattanooga, TN.
Jeremie works in porcelain and stoneware firing in ^6 oxidation and soda/salt/wood.
