I own that little, red embellished Raku teabowl on the near-right. I bought that as a purchase award one year at the KC Clay Guild Teabowl National. I love the looseness of his work...the fun use of underglaze and glaze.
Ryan creates his work from ^10 porcelain and casting slip. He creates with a pinch/coil technique, sometimes in plaster molds. Videos of his techniques can be seen at:
He graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and studied under Glenda Taylor. He still lives and works in Topeka.
