ALISON BRITTON~

I feel soft today.  These pots make me feel soft and airy...like cotton candy.  I think it is the fondant white, juicy candy colors of this work and round forms.  AND...I just want to eat them up!
Alison Britton creates large, sculptural, hand-built vessels embellished with poured and painted slips, underglaze and glaze.  She  began her career decorating tiles, attended the Royal College of Art in London.  She teaches there and maintains a studio in London.    Working in earthenware, she creates functional vessels that are as much about sculpture and painting as they are about serving.

I love everything about clay.  I like making, teaching, looking at, owning and using pots.  This blog is a continuation of my Facebook posts that have been going on since the day after the disappointing 2016 election.  I [we] needed to have something good to see and think about.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
