Victoria is one of my favorite potters. She works in earthenware and also soda fires. I love her fluid, spontaneous looking forms and vaguely floral/weed drawings on the surface. I love that they are not symmetrical!
Victoria creates her functional work from earthenware and often times fires in a soda kiln. I would guess she uses underglazes to decorate her work with vague floral/plant drawings. One thing I like about her work is that it is not regular...a little bit off in shape. Her work looks so spontaneous!
She earned her MFA from the University of Minnesota and continued her education through residencies, among them the Archie Bray in Montana. She currently lives and works in Portland Oregon as a full-time potter.
