This is Denise's 2nd time in KC clay Guild Teabowl National, with her accepted piece to the near left...the first one in her gallery. I am attracted to the lovely soda fired surfaces and the freehand drawing of flowers. I also like the 'tumbling' cups!
Denise creates functional and sculptural vessels with stoneware and porcelain. She fires atmospherically and at the moment she is firing in a soda kiln.
She is an Adjunct Professor of Ceramics at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA and a Ceramic Arts Instructor at the Frederick Clay Studio.
This is also Eric's 2nd time in TEABOWL NATIONAL. Of course, his accepted piece is the first one in his gallery. This piece is so much bluer in person...just WOW when I unpacked it.
Eric serves as a graduate student at my alma mater, Missouri University-Columbia. He will earn his Masters in 2019...then on to bigger and better things! Before that he was at the Morean Center for Clay in Florida.
