David is a multi-year participant in KC Clay Guild Teabowl National...in fact his work has been accepted since 2011...that is 7 years in all. I love the forms he throws and the surfaces he creates...all yummy.
I first met David at some regional art fairs around Kansas and Missouri. I bought a piece or two over the years. He even asked me to be the first juror for his university's first juried show, TWIN CUPS. It was a fun experience and an honor to help my friend.
He teaches Ceramics and Visual Art at Missouri Western State U in S. Joseph. I hear he is planning an 'Eclipse' wood firing at the new wood kiln on the outskirts of St. Joe!
David Hill is a multi-year participant in Teabowl National. His two accepted pieces (from 2017 and 2014) are on the first row of his gallery.
His work is folded, stretched, overlapped with textures that urge you to touch them. HIs glazes are luscious and inviting.
