SUSAN FEAGIN~ YUMMMMMMAY! I love this work! I could eat it UP! I like the 'crazy quilt' aspect of Susan's pots. I love the pattern, the asymmetry and the color. I like how the black on the bowls draws my eyes down to the form and the patterns. Susan hand builds. She uses slip & silkscreens to print her images on clay. There is a great video of that technique at the bottom. Born in California, Susan went back to her mother's home state of North Carolina for school. She worked in Atlanta and attended various classes at Penland, finally concentrating on clay as a core student. She taught classes at Good Earth Ceramic Center and worked as a layout artist at a newspaper. As technology advanced, her job as a layout ended. She began grad classes at the University of Florida in 2004. After graduating in 2007, she returned to P3e3nland as clay studio coordinator AND making beautiful pottery!
