CAMILLA WARD~

I found Camilla's work while 'Googlin' around.  I was drawn to the color, line, shapes and forms of her pieces.  I liked the non-objective imagery of her work as well.
Camilla is the from Gloucestershire in the UK.  Her work is formed from slabs of red earthenware.  She applies the shapes and lines with underglaze, slips, engobes and glaze, then scratches through to create her abstract imagery.  She uses a 3-D canvas to create non-objective paintings.  She also adds clay 'blobs' and pegs to add interest and movement to the work.
I need to look her up the next time I go to the UK!

    Susan Speck:
I love everything about clay.  I like making, teaching, looking at, owning and using pots.  This blog is a continuation of my Facebook posts that have been going on since the day after the disappointing 2016 election.  I [we] needed to have something good to see and think about.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
